Uncle Greg is a daddy!

We are so happy and excited to welcome Greg and Belinda's baby girl, Dillon Marie to the world! She was born at 1:26 am on Feb 12th, Year of the Ox. Her chinese name is Tze Lien (great wisdom lotus flower). Isn't she the sweetest little thing?

Born January 24th at 7lbs. 1oz; 19.5" long. What a sweet face! She's only a few days old and she's already smiling! Big congratulations to Kathleen and Philip!

Happy Lunar New Year!

We started off the lunar new year by adopting a fish! I asked Naomi what we should call him and she answered, "Pooh Bear"...but I think she might of been confused and thought I asked her who we should telephone call. We totally got Pooh Bear on speed dial. Anyway, here's a shot of Pooh Bear the fish.

Even more exciting is we set up Naomi's "big girl" bed. She LOVES it and thinks it's the coolest thing since...well, her new fish.

garden update

I wanted to check on the progress of our root veggies so I pulled the turnip, beet and carrot a bit early. I ended up using the turnip and beet greens with some kale (not pictured) in a pasta dish for dinner. Naomi ate it up! She also ate all the baby carrots even though I asked her to save one for Dad...she just couldn't resist. Check out the mutant radish in the middle! komatsuna and napa cabbage

We're back!

Our amazing vacation started off in Michigan. Here's Uncle Nick, Grandma Jane, Papa, Gigi, Danny and Naomi digesting the amazing turkey dinner Gigi had made for us.

boy or girl?

We still don't know! This baby was being shy and kept it's legs crossed. The ultrasound technician said that she thinks it's a girl, but it's still a 50/50 chance. I was all, "geez, that's helpful." We were really hoping to narrow down name choices, but I guess we'll just have to make 2 lists now.

Last night Naomi finally figured out the shutter on my camera. She then proceeded to take pictures of anything that struck her fancy, which basically meant EVERYTHING! She took photos of shoes, Danny's paintings, her toys, and at one point she even lifted up my shirt and took an extreme close up of my belly...too bad that one didn't turn out.

Happy Halloween!

Jenny, Kei, and Mr. and Mrs Pena brought Maya over to celebrate Halloween with us. These girls seriously love each other, every once in a while we would catch them hugging. It was too sweet.
