ni hao!

We got the fantastic news last Wednesday, that Naomi got into one of the Mandarin Chinese Immersion programs in San Francisco. That meant Naomi had the really difficult job of saying goodbye to her already beloved teacher and classmates on Wednesday and start at a new school (all in Mandarin) the very next day. There of course, were lots of tears and a bit of feet stomping, but the next morning she was all smiles and was excited to go. Thankfully, she loves her new school as much as her old one!

This school requires a uniform. YES!

Very first Chinese homework, which Naomi couldn't wait to do. She loved doing homework so much, I got her a composition book so she can keep practicing her characters.

Naomi starts kindergarten

First Day of school

This past week Naomi woke up everyday thrilled to go to kindergarten! She was actually really sad when I told her that there wouldn't be any school until Monday. Danny asked her, "What is your favorite part of school?"
Naomi's reply, "ALL OF IT!"

Emi's number 1 birthday!

We love you, you sweet gorgeous girl!

liquid gold

Our first honey harvest.
This honey is absolutely addictive...we've been eating it by the spoonfuls!

Crazy honey bee trivia:
-To make 1 pound of honey,
bees must gather nectar from over 2 million flowers!
-1 honey bee will make only 1/10 teaspoon of honey in her lifetime.
