celebrating Holi, Festival of Colours
Holi, a Hindu festival, celebrates the time of the year when the fields are in full bloom and the people are expecting a good harvest. Naomi's school celebrated today by throwing colored powders (cornstarch with food safe dyes) on each other and their teachers!
I unfortunately couldn't be there, a fellow parent shared this photo with me.

Chinese time
I'm constantly being blown away by how much Chinese Naomi is learning at school. Here's a little sampler:
Part 1: Tang Dynasty Poem
Quiet Night Thoughts by Li Bai
The moonlight glistens in front of my bed. I thought it was the frost on the ground. I lift my gaze to view the shimmering moon, Then lower my head, and miss my homeland.
Part 2: Cloud Kitten
The white clouds in the sky looks like a big and cute cat. My cat likes to play and to play with her toys. She likes to eat milk. (Naomi did not know the character for "drink".)

Sunday project
The kids made their own doll houses this morning. Danny did help with the stairs on one, but the rest is all their own.
