finally getting some eggs

Our Rhode Island Red, Goldie has been laying us an egg every day since Friday. Her eggs are so cute and on the small side but they'll get bigger as she matures. We cooked a few up over easy and oh boy they were delicious! The yolks are super dense, so rich...they tasted decadent.

Goldie and Ru enjoying some down time.

Let me see 4 chickens laid one egg a day 4x7=28 not bad if you use 16 eggs a week, still have 12 left you sell for $3.50 a dozen x52week=$182 a year that will cover your feeds for the chickens and gas to get it. good investment. oh yes don't forget the play value for family too. HA HA
